Installing the Sendinblue Addon

Before you begin, first you must ensure that your WordPress website has WPForms installed and activated.

You can easily instal and activate your Sendinblue addon after you have installed WP Forms and your licence is confirmed.

Connecting Your Sendinblue Account to WPForms

Now you are ready to connect to your sendinblue account once the Sendinblue addon has been set up and enabled. Go to WPForms » Settings, and press the Integrations tab.

To expand your settings, click on the Sendinblue option. To enter your account details, continue and click on the Add New Account button.

This will display two fields in which you need to add your Sendinblue API key and an account nickname.

Login to your Sendinblue account first to find your API key. When logged in, pick SMTP & API from the main menu located at the top-right corner of the screen.

You can access your API key from there.

Go ahead and copy this value to your WPForms setup. In the area called Sendinblue API Key you must paste your API key.

Then add a nickname to the Nickname area of the Sendinblue Account. This is only for internal reference and can be beneficial if more Sendinblue accounts are linked later.

Go on and click on the Sendinblue button when you’re finished.

WPForms will now link your Sendinblue account to your website. When done, it displays your Sendinblue integration with a Green Linked status.

Adding a Sendinblue Integration to Your Forms

You will be ready to add Sendinblue to a form once you have successfully linked your Sendinblue account. You need to start designing a new form or editing a form that already exists.

Go to Marketing » Sendinblue inside the Form Creator. Click on the Add New Link button in the Sendinblue tab.

Clicking on this button opens an overlay to give this link a nickname. It is only for internal reference that you can enter any nickname you want.

You can pick the account that you want to use from the Select Account dropdown if you have more than one Sendinblue account linked to WPForms. Then pick the action you want to take when your form is submitted by the users. We will select Subscribe for our example, to add users to our contacts in Sendinblue.

If you have chosen an action you may have to configure additional settings.

Each of these options has been illustrated below with fields marked with an asterisk.

  • Email:* Pick the area for WPForms containing the email address of the subscriber.
  • New Email: pick a field of WPForms which would include the subscriber’s new email address. This field is only necessary when an existing contact is modified in Sendinblue, so we will keep this field blank for our example.
  • List:* Select the Sendinblue list to which you wish to add subscribers.

Also if you wish, under the Custom Field Name section you can map any custom fields you have applied to your Sendinblue account.

Once all your settings have been installed, make sure your form is saved.
